You will need three large plastic boxes. I used three old boxes original supplied by the local council for recycling. They have now been superseded by a wheelie bin, so I'm recycling them !
You will also need :-
- A terracotta plant pot,
- Some mesh,
- A Tap ( The sort that is used for a water butt)
- Plywood (Exact sizes will depend on your choice of box)
- A few off cuts of wood for batons.
- 20 off 3/4" No.6 wood screws
- Glue sticks
For the mesh I used a couple of non-stick pizza cooking trays

The 1st Tier
The first tier of the wormery is there to catch the liquid by products which can be used as a liquid fertilizer.
Therefore the bottom tier needs to be water tight. This is my first problem as my chosen boxes have four drain holes in the bottom.
This was easily fixed by plugging the holes with bolts and sealing them with a silicon compound.
To complete the 1st tier a tap is added and two batons to support the second tier.
The plant pot is placed upside down inside the bottom tier. This is to allow the worms an escape route should any fall into the bottom tier.
The 2nd Tier
